Sustainability

KRR ProStream is committed to promoting sustainability. Concern for the environment and promoting a broader sustainability agenda are key elements of our organisation. Our goal is to develop and promote good sustainability practices amongst our employees, within our community and amongst our suppliers.

 

Our sustainability policy is based on the following principles. We will:

  • Be aware of, fully understand and comply with all applicable regulations, guidelines and codes of practice
  • Ensure that sustainability considerations are included in all our business decisions
  • Ensure that all staff are aware of our Sustainability Policy and are committed to its implementation
  • Review, periodically report and continually strive to improve our sustainability performance
 

To apply the principles of our Sustainability Policy we will take the following steps. We will:

Environment

  • Develop, implement and maintain an environmental management system that meets the requirements of the ISO14001: 2015 standard
  • Monitor, record and understand electricity usage from our office activities and look for energy saving opportunities
  • Maximise the reuse or recycling of our waste arisings including paper, computer supplies and redundant equipment
  • Monitor, record and understand CO2 emissions arising from travel to customer sites and look for opportunities to reduce our carbon footprint
  • Avoid traveling to meetings where alternatives are available, such as teleconferencing
  • Ensure that timber furniture and any other timber products we use are recycled or are sourced from well-managed sustainable sources and are Forest Stewardship Council, or equivalent, certified

Employees

  • Review contracts to ensure that all staff receive a fair wage reflecting the environment in which they work
  • Ensure during contract review that all staff have contractual terms which represent reasonable minimum standards and which provide for family friendly and flexible working environments
  • Introduce approaches to employment that ensures there is no discrimination on the basis of race, gender, age etc.
  • Encourage the recruitment and mentoring of next generation employees
  • Maintain an ongoing programme of Research and Development to keep our services current and relevant to the customer

 Community

  •  Look for community and charitable projects that the company can become involved in including the Loseley Park Recycling Scheme

 Suppliers

  •  Implement a programme of responsible sourcing in our supply chain taking account of issues such as environmental management
