On Thurday 27th June KRR were delighted to attend the 2019 MRW National Recycling Awards at the The Hilton, Park Lane in London, as finalists in the Recycling Excellence category.

Although we didn't win on this occasion, we very much enjoyed meeting the other contestants and celebrating in their acheivements, while learning about the important part they play in the waste management and recycling industry.

Over the last 2 years KRR has worked with post graduate students helping them to gain practical hands on experience and knowledge of the Industrial Boiler Cleaning Industry and Energy from Waste Sector, while also gaining valuable exposure to the everyday challenges of working for a successful SME.

As Data Analysts, our placements develop their research, analytical and time management skills working on projects relating to UK EfW and EfB Industries.  This employee/placement partnership provides a valuable resource for KRR while also providing placements with opportunities to apply these skills in their studies.

Our latest placement Emily Murray has assisted KRR by completing research and
analysis alongside studying for her Masters degree in Water and Environmental
Engineering at Surrey University. Emily worked on numerous projects during her year
with us, including researching new and current energy from waste and energy from
biomass plants throughout the UK, as well as collecting monitoring data  to help
     maintain KRR’s environmental commitment.

“Working with KRR has helped to improve my report writing skills and develop my knowledge and experience of the boiler cleaning and energy from waste sectors, this has been invaluable for completing my Masters.”

We are thrilled to announce that KRR ProStream has achieved a score of 100% in our fifth annual Audit by Achilles and continue to be a registered member of the Achilles UVDB community attaining the B1 Verify audit.

A big thank you to all our staff for helping us to achieve this outstanding result.

At KRR we are passionate about supporting our local community and
inspiring it’s younger members to take an interest in science, engineering
and the environment.

So a big congratulations goes to Ben Wittle, Emily Wells and Tom and Ed
Griffiths for winning the top prizes in the KRR energy quiz at our 'Science
is Fun' stall, held at our the local village fete.
